Guides for the work between the idea and the deadline.

Three tracks — writing, citation and method — written for students who need to understand the reasoning, not just copy a template.

01 · Academic writing

Turn an outline into a chapter

Argument, structure, tone and the paragraph work that makes a section read as though one person wrote it — because in the end, one person does.

  1. 01Frame the chapter with one controlling idea and note what it must establish.
  2. 02Draft the topic sentence of each paragraph before filling the evidence in.
  3. 03Keep every claim beside the source that supports it as you write.
  4. 04Revise for logic, then for language — never both at once.

Writing is a sequence of small, defendable claims.

02 · Citation & referencing

Reference without guesswork

A citation is a promise that a source says what you claim. Learn to build that promise from a stored record, in the style your school demands.

  1. 01Record sources as you find them, not at the end — metadata included.
  2. 02Save the identifier (DOI) so a reference can always be traced.
  3. 03Match the in-text citation to the exact page or section you used.
  4. 04Check the reference list once, in one style, from end to end.

Every reference traces back to a record you can open.

03 · Research methodology

Choose a method you can defend

Design, sampling, instruments and analysis — the decisions a supervisor will probe, written so you can explain each one in a sentence.

  1. 01State the question before the method, and keep the two aligned.
  2. 02Justify the design and the sample with a source, not a preference.
  3. 03Pilot the instrument and record what changed after the pilot.
  4. 04Report analysis honestly, including what did not work.

Method follows question, not fashion.

Put the guides to work

Read a method, then write with it.

PassResearch keeps the source record next to the sentence, so the guidance here turns into a document you can defend.
